AERLINTHE JOURNAL CONTENTS:
Quick Familiarization
Hehehe, don't be scared by the title of this section. You made it! You are at Aerlinthe Island! You will find yourself standing on a small platform, looking out towards the city, with a beautiful sunset, peaceful sounds of nature, the songs of birds, and... "Feazh Zhapaj" - the battle cry of drain mages =) Time to hop off the platform and get some phat lewt, right? Well, not yet! First, let's quickly get to know the Island and where you will be spending the next few hours (or minutes.. if you meet the LS that quickly). Here's a small map of the Island I put together in Photoshop a couple minutes ago:

So, let's check out these locations I marked on the map. They are basically the main points of interest on the island. Keep in mind, there is no certain spot where monsters spawn (well except the Golems) - they spawn pretty much everywhere, along the beaches, further in... everywhere! First, here's a very brief description of each place.
- Drop-Off Point (84.1N 47.1E) -This is the spot where you will find yourself when you portal in to the Island. This place is safe, unless an elite dude dragged over some Drudges or Banderlings. A tiny bit to the south, right off the platform and into the water, is the favorite buff spot of everyone - this place is also 99.99% safe. Buff away (read next section).

- Shimena Keep (91.4N 41.7E) - A beautiful castle stands on a mini-island, connected with a half-destroyed bridge to the main island. A floating tower and a tall tree can be seen inside, plants cover the walls... Very beautiful... STAY AWAY! This is the hang-out place of Diamond Golems, Vapor Golems (damn these bastards are tough), and Plasma Golems (these too!), along with some high-level Skeletons. Once again, stay away! You must, however, to continue on your way around the Island, run under the bridge, sometimes coming in close contact with Vapor Golems.

- Aurlanaa's Gromnietross (89.1N 42.8E) - A place I have never been to... This entry is taken straight from the Aerlinthe Record book: "RE 274: The Blessing of Aerlinthe. A gromnatross makes her aerie on the peaks of Cunara. She is named Aurlanaa by the people of the port."
- Tenkarrdun Fountry (88.9N 42.7E) - A dungeon filled with Vapor, Diamond, and Plasma Golems, Fire Wisps, Infernos, and other nasties. Here the Gate Sluice Bar can be found, needed to complete the Aerlinthe Quest. Level 24+ restriction.
- Aerlinthe Reservoir (85.5N 43.4E) - Another dungeon needed for the Aerlinthe Quest. This one contains the Repair Golem, who you must give the Gate Sluice Bar to. Don't worry, you probably won't be doing this any time soon =) Level 45+ restriction.
- T-Shirt Vendor (84.3N 45.0E) - This merchant sells the ever-famous Aerlinthe Monarch and Patron T-Shirts. Getting to this guy is quite tough, however. You must either run around the whole island or run through Raina's Harbor (and that you will NOT want to do). The tent itself is a bit inland, surrounded by the usual land spawns of Banderlings, Drudges, and Shreth.
- Smith Ejan (86.4N 45.6E) - There is a destroyed temple where this guy is found. He is Undead. He will drop the Charred Book, which can later be translated into the Aerlinthe Record (click on the title to read the entire Book!) in Cragstone. Getting to this place is also extremely hard, since you will be running through Raina's Harbor. Actually, there is another way of getting to this place - it involves running around the whole Island and then going through a shortcut near the Aerlinthe Reservoir, through spawns of Augmented Drudges, Relic Bones, White Wasps, Fire Wisps, Silver Tuskers, Diamond Golems, etc. I got a few glimpses of the destroyed temples where Smith Ejan is located... then I recalled:

- Raina's Harbor - Scared of this place yet? =) On the two sides of the harbor, you will find the spawns of the ever-camped Coral Golems, those bright red and blue dudes that give you around 30-35k experience per kill. Deeper in, you will find hell. Literally. Spawns of Fire Wisps, Silver Tuskers, and the rest of the crew. I only ran through there once and had to portal out after receiving a huge amount of level VI debuffs. Here're a couple screenshots of that experience... you can see what I am talking about:
So, now you at least know what this Island looks like and what's on it. Where exactly will you be hunting? Well, like I've said before, Banderlings will most likely be what you want to start on, and they spawn everywhere on the Island - all along the beach. Sometimes it is hard to find an umcamped spot close to the drop-off point, but just keep on running around the Island, beyond Shimena Keep - eventually you will be alone... kinda scary to tell you the truth =) Well, looks like you're all ready to hunt now, my friend - let's get to buffing.
On to Buffing
