![]() AERLINTHE JOURNAL CONTENTS:
RewardsIt's time to check out the items that can be retrieved from this quest. First, the Ring of the Watchman. This ring is taken off the Relic Bones who opens the portal to Aerfalle Keep from Relic Town. Thanks to Elder for letting me see this for screenshots! ![]() Next item - Ashbane. An interesting sword indeed. It can not be buffed, and it is very high value - mule it unless you have awesome death items to keep it from dropping. ![]() Aaah, the one item in Dereth that everyone wants - the Scroll of Aerlinthe Recall. This scroll is found inside the Lady Aerfalle's Chest, along with the Pallium (see below) and Ashbane. It is no-drop and no-give, and it can only be gotten ONCE. That is, it can be thought of as an infinite quest timer... The scroll must be taken to Zaikhal and given to the translator. As you can see on the picture below, the left portion is the untranslated scroll, and the right - the spell itself. Once you hand the scroll over, you learn the spell automatically. Oh, and this spell can not be brute-forced. ![]() Now, the other two awesome items from the quest - Aerfalle's Pallium and the Staff of Aerfalle. In the picture below, you can see Impetuous sporting both items =) ![]() Let's take a closer look at the Pallium. What's so great about it? Well, it looks sweet as hell. And the spells it casts are quite good! If you can activate it (if you can, kudos to high Arcane!), it's pretty damn nice. However, it can not be buffed, and it drops on death EVERY time, no matter what death items you have. Mule this before questing!! ![]() The Staff of Aerfalle is also a wonderful item, especially for those without Creature Magic. It looks awesome too - glows in the dark! Also drops on death EVERY time. ![]() At last, we come to the final item - the Black Boulder. It must be given to the Stone Collector (I used the one in Qalaba'r), and you receive the Black Fire Atlan Stone in return. I slapped that puppy into my Atlan Staff, and here's what it looks like: ![]() The activated Staff looks even better, hehehe. Keep in mind, this is Bludgeoning damage - can you say Olthoi-Killer? *grin*! ![]() Well, that's it for the quest. Thanks to Impetuous for letting me take screenshots of the Ashbane, Pallium, and the Staff of Aerfalle. And now, please read the last two sections of the page... they're kind of important. Thanks!
